Judy Young Portraits
One of the most important aspects of my work is painting posthumous portraits for people who have been bereaved.
This requires sensitivity, particularly when painting stillborn babies. The photos taken in hospital sometimes show evidence of damage during birth, and I can airbrush out these distortions, without losing the parents' perceived personality of their baby. We collaborate over what exactly the parents want me to show, and these portraits - of posthumous babies only - are available at half-price.
